Surprise [Untethered Jailbreak To Be Released Today12PM]

iOS 6, 6.1 Untethered Jailbreak Evasi0n To Be Released Monday, Algorithm Used For Progress Bar Hints At 12PM EST

Although you had “Super Bowl” to help you enjoy this Sunday, the highly anticipated Feb. 3 release of evasi0n, the iOS 6, 6.1 Untethered Jailbreak, didn’t turn out, leaving millions among the jailbreak community craving for the exploit. But fret not, the wait is likely to be a matter of just a few more hours.

The evad3rs team has confirmed via its official Twitter account that evsi0n will arrive Monday, Feb. 4. Here’s what the tweet says:
“Final count down toward tomorrow's release has begun!”
Following the announcement from evad3rs, renowned iOS hacker Planetbeing also took to his Twitter account to confirm the same. The hacker tweeted:
“Yes, tomorrow is a concrete release date. It’s also the only release date we’ve ever given.”
Over the last few days, many reports surfaced online suggesting that the iOS 6, 6.1 untethered jailbreak would be released on the Super Bowl Sunday. The theories around a Sunday release of evasi0n were developed mainly based on a couple of hints from the hackers themselves – first, a teasing tweet from MuscleNerd and then, the evasi0n websiteshowing photos of iPhones with the Calendar icon displaying the date “3.”
However, if evad3rs member Planetbeing is to be believed, there has not been any official hint at a possible release date for the untethered jailbreak.
“We didn't change any release dates. It's silly to try to find "hints" from day 1... when we have no idea when we're going to be done,” Planetbeing tweeted.
But now with the official confirmation on evsi0n release being dropped, it’s time to put all those chatters to rest.
Meanwhile, at the time of reporting, the progress bar was showing that 95 percent of the work had been done with the final testing and preparation underway. The step to follow thereafter was nothing but the “Release!”.

12PM EST, Monday – The Appointed Hour?
Although the evad3rs team has confirmed that Monday will be the release date for the iOS 6, 6.1 untethered jailbreak tool evasi0n, they didn’t give any specific time to expect the release. But a few enthusiastic minds have managed to find out some interesting clues hidden inside the coding of the evsi0n website that apparently reveal the exact time when the progress bar will touch 100 percent, marking the release time of evsi0n.
A Redmond Pie report has pointed toward a Twitter user with the handle @UK_IT_Guy, who has claimed that the progress bar on the evsi0n website goes up 0.0045 percent in every 30 seconds. If the bar keeps up the same pace, it will reach 100 percent at approximately 9 a.m. Pacific Time, the report has added.
Here’re some of the tweets from @UK_IT_Guy, calculating the time:
“The progress bar on the #evad3rs website is auto-updating, goes up by 0.0045% every 30 seconds. You do the math :)”
“*If* I am correct, I expect it to show 92% at around 2.20 a.m. GMT.”
“Calculations weren't off, just didn't consider rounding showing 92% at 91.9145 so I was correct 2:20 GMT is really 92%.”
thread over at Reddit has also been spotted that explains the algorithm used for the progress bar on the evasi0n website.
“I just used Mathematica to calculate the value of all of these variables. As it turns out, when the 0x11c7 value is equal to 1359997200(00) the percentage is 100%. In Unix Time this value is exactly 12 p.m. noon EST 2/4/2013,” posted Zairex, who started the thread.
What makes it more exciting is Planetbeing’s reply that apparently agrees to the calculation. The hacker said:
“I like your solution the best. :)”
If all these calculations are indeed valid, then it’s quite safe to expect the iOS 6, 6.1 untethered jailbreak evasi0n to release Monday at 9 a.m. PST (12 p.m. EST/ 5 p.m. GMT) or else sometime around or after that.
An Event Time Announcer has also been set up on timeanddate.com for the release of evasi0n. Click here for the exact time and date of the release based on different cities around the world.
